Our journey
What seems like a million years ago I fell in love with a pretty young dog, who turned out to be a Labradoodle. It was 1987 and we met her and her owner at a BAR B Q in our village in the UK. She was chocolate and had the softest wavy coat I had ever seen or touched. She had kind eyes and a calm personality that I liked immediately. Our meeting definitely left its mark.
I talked about her all the way home and I remember saying to my husband, “I want one of those as a family pet one day” and the rest, as they say, is history.
My husband and I emigrated from the UK with our 3 boys in 2004.
We are proud to one of the few Breeders registered with the Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA) in Western Canada
Our Family Breeding Business has achieved GOLD LEVEL status. We strive for the improvement of the Breed and to produce outstanding puppies which we are proud to produce for pet families, PTSD sufferers, Service dogs or emotional support.
Our puppies are raised in our home, on our 6 acre Christmas Tree Farm in Duncan, BC.
Our parents are extensively Health tested for hip, elbow, patella, heart, eyes and genetic screening. We genetically test to plan for colour of litter and coat type too. Our dogs and puppies train with Badass/Ultimate Breeder protocols and incorporate the Avid Breeder philosophy too, and we start young!
We use Early Neurological Simulation (ENS) in the first weeks, and set safe mental and physical challenges to create problem solving, independent thinking puppies. We introduce them to the big wide world on warm sheltered days, so that their world is expanded. Crate training starts at about three weeks and impulse control (jumping, barking and biting) is worked on long before they find themselves into your homes.
We pride ourselves on Donating yearly to families that require Emotional Support, Therapy and Service dogs.
We are not ageist either! If you are elderly and want a pup, we just want to make sure you have a Plan B in mind!
